Would you wake up at 7.30am to queue for this bakery? @amam_dacotan_kyoto 🥐 This place was right outside of my hotel and the huge queues got me curious 👀 so I joined their virtual queue when it opened at 7,30 and it was a very smooth system actually. I got there to take my place in the queue at 8. It was first thing in the morning, everything had been made fresh. The variety was great with lots of sweet and savoury options. I tried the mentaiko baguette, but the one that stood out to me the most was the pistachio condensed milk & red bean bun, delicious. The experience was good, however if it hadn’t been outside of my hotel doorstep, combined with that fact that my jet lag had me up already, I’m not sure I’d wake up with the sole purpose to travel out to try it.
