𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 The Sanctuary of Truth in Pattaya is a full scale wooden temple carved almost entirely by hand, using traditional joinery instead of metal fixings. No steel framework hidden underneath. What you see is what is holding it up. Built from teak and covered top to bottom in carvings, every surface tells a story inspired by Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism and ancient Khmer beliefs. Gods, animals and humans are layered together to explore life, morality and the balance between man and nature. You can walk through the structure while craftsmen continue carving, repairing and shaping the wood around you, using techniques that have largely disappeared elsewhere in the world. It feels less like visiting a temple and more like stepping inside a living piece of philosophy.
